Description

Cordiera Sessilis - MARMELADA do CAMPO Plant Information: 🌱 Name: Cordiera Sessilis - MARMELADA do CAMPO 🌱 Quantity: 1 Plant 🌱 Container: 4x4x6 Container Plant Description: Seeds were imported from Brazil. A tree or shrub native mainly to the Cerrado, Marmelada do Campo, is also known in certain regions as Marmelada de Cachorro or Puruí Miúdo. This fruit is still little known, but it is an excellent option for growing in pots, small spaces or home orchards. It produces fruits that are initially green in color, and as they mature, they acquire a black color. With fleshy pulp and a very sweet flavor, it has a pasty consistency, similar to homemade marmalade. They can be consumed fresh, juices, ice creams and sweets. It bears fruit mainly during the summer period, but other productions may occur throughout the year. In nature, it is an important source of food for fauna, especially wild dogs and birds. Rustic plant, accepts most soils, except waterlogged ones. It should be planted in full sun or partial shade.
