Stop watering to allow the old leaf pair to dry out and the new pair develop. By early spring the new body should be visible. Wateromg can be resumed once the remains of the old body are completely shriveled and dry. Be sure NOT TO overwater, allow soil to dry completely between watering. Light: Lithops requires partial or full sun. T he best way to care for them would be to provide 4-5 hours of early sunlight, and partial shade in the afternoon. A south or east window with optimum light is an ideal place for your Lithops. Remember, prolonged direct sunlight exposure will burn the plant. Soil: It is best for Lithops to be planted in gritty mix or fast-draining potting soil. Pumice, perlite, or other gritty materials can also be added to help with soil drainage.
